According to Wikipedia “Millennials (also known as Generation Y, Generation Me and Echo Boomers) are the demographic cohort following Generation X.” This means that if you were born between 1980 and sometime in the early 2000’s then you are certainly a millennial aka the “Peter Pan generation”.
We (myself included) are the largest & most educated generation in history, we’re tech savvy (literally we grew up together with technology), we feel obliged to do our share of the deal and make the world a better place. And we surely believe that we can do that.
We’re global citizens, we’re super conscious (health, social, economical and environmental), compassionate, entrepreneurial, practical dreamers, diverse, open & inclusive. We’ve also been called nomads, we have a thirst for adventure & exploration, impatient, able to juggle a kazillion of things at the same time. (we’ve basically coined the term “multi-tasking” right?!).
We’ve been called narcissistic (we’ve actually taken the first selfie ever!!). Even self-entitled or selfish. The truth falls somewhere in the middle.
All we want is to be happy! Successful! Contribute to something beyond ourselves! We want meaning. Connection. Synchronicity. We want to be our own definition of success & we want to have everything on OUR terms (which might look sooooo different from the success ideas past generations had for us).
My mission is to guide us back home to who we really are behind all the “should’s”, “must’s” & other`s expectations of how your life should enfold. To hold space for YOUR transformation & assist YOU on your personal journey to happiness, joy & fulfillment. To uncover your own idea of success & gracefully let go of all things that are no longer serving you.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” —African Proverb.
If you are a millennial yourself then I would love to hear from you! In what aria of your life are you being challenged right now?! Where would you like to take action & what seems to be resisting in spite of your efforts to move on?!
